Because of Windows' inherit flaws with its registry, among other issues, it is recommended that you perform a clean reinstall of Windows every 1-2 years. Signs of needing a reinstallation of Windows include sluggish performance, programs not responding, and general poor performance. This can be caused by viruses, spyware, and just plain everyday usage.

Reinstallation includes backing up your important documents, music, and pictures (up to 10 GBs) and putting them back on your clean reinstall. Customer must provide locations to these files. Although, it is recommended that the customer backs up all files her/himself before reinstallation as Spongy Donuts will not be held liable for lost files. If owner provides discs and license keys, if applicable, additional software will be reloaded on the computer for free (up to 5 programs). All software, including Windows, will be updated prior to handing back to customer.

The customer must supply a genuine copy of Windows. If you do not have a copy of Windows, for instance your computer didn't come with one, you should choose the other package, which is the Clean Installation of Windows with Spongy Donuts Supplied Genuine Copy of Windows

Spongy Donuts will provide an OEM version of Windows to the customer. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer and is a fully functioning, legal copy of Windows. The only caveat to OEM copies of Windows is they will only work for one machine. Meaning, you can't transfer the copy to another computer in the event your computer dies or you give it away in the future. Since we are supplying the disc, this is a great time to make that upgrade to Windows 11! Especially, if you're still using Windows 10. Don't be fooled by the fear mongering. Windows 11, as long as you have a fairly new computer, is an excellent upgrade. Please note that Spongy Donuts will not be able to reinstall and provide a disc for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 as they are no longer supported nor available from Microsoft.

Okay, you can do this in any season really. Spring cleaning includes physically cleaning the outside and inside of your computer case--you would be amazed how many dust bunnies reside inside your computer case and cause all sorts of problems. Your computer will also receive a virtual scrubbing including removing minor viruses (major viruses require a Windows reinstallation) and spyware, optimizing your computer settings, updating all programs, and defragmenting your hard drive.
